Gray's Lawn & Turf Fertilization Schedule

Gray's Lawn Fertilization program is designed to give you deep green color, maximum root development, thick full turf, minimal thatch build-up and slower actual total growth. Unlike the national brands, Gray's lawn program is custom designed for Willamette Valley turf grasses.

By following this program, watering correctly at a rate of 1" of water once per week and mowing to a height of 2 - 2 ½' tall, you will enjoy a lush, green and weed-free lawn.

March 1 st

Apply the following at the same time and water in:

  1. Gray's Premium Lawn Food at a rate of 20 lbs. per 3,000 square feet.
  2. Natural Guard Soil Activator at a rate of 20 lbs. per 2,000 sq ft.
  3. Calpril Lawn & Garden Lime at a rate of 25 lbs. per 2,500 sq ft.
  4. * Turf Ranger at a rate of 10 lbs. per 3,300 square feet for European Crane Fly control. (*if necessary)

 

July 1 st

Apply the following at the same time and water in:

  1. Gray's Premium Lawn Food at a rate of 20 lbs. per 3,000 sq ft.

  3. Calpril Lawn & Garden Lime at a rate of 25 lbs. per 2,500 sq ft.

September 1 st

Apply the following at the same time and water in:

  1. Gray's Premium Lawn Winterizer at a rate of 20# per 3,000 sq ft.
  2. Natural Guard Soil Activator at a rate of 20 lbs. per 2,000 sq ft.
  3. Calpril Lawn & Garden Lime at a rate of 25 lbs. per 2,500 sq ft.
  4. *Turf Ranger at a rate of 10 lbs. per 3,300 sq ft for European Crane Fly control. (*if necessary)
